Not at my worst
You don't want me at my worst.
You don't want the frustration or sadness.
The upset or the confusion.
You can't handle the mean little voice in my head.
Or the way i beat myself up.
You would rather not speak than say meaningless nothings to make me feel better.
You would rather me self-soothe so you don't have to worry about it.
When your compliments fall on deaf ears, you give up.
You don't want me at my worst.

Sharing of an epiphany moment
From now on, when people offer ideas or information in an attempt to help (whether or not it actually is helpful), I vow to accept their advice with an open heart and a heartfelt thank you.
Being dismissive feels rude and causes the person offering to feel useless and invisible.
My PSA for the day. And now I'll climb down from my little soapbox. Thanks for listening, and keep fighting for the good in the world!

A shiver of inspiration
I love having ideas.
When a really good one strikes, it sends a shiver through my limbs, and goosebumps wiggle their way upwards.
How addictive

Humans are such odd creatures, and so blessed, to have pets.
We, as animals, keep animals in our homes and lives and hearts. And for what? Something to love, and to love us. Something that understands us, but cares nothing for our world of upset and woe. Something to see beyond our perspective.
I admit to being a sucker for animals of any kind. I would have an entire menagerie, if I thought I could take proper care of the honorable beings. But I know I cannot, so I have beautiful, and feisty, feline companions, a white wolf who acts as my familiar, four other canine nephews of all shapes, sizes, and ages, and a silent serpent who loves to entwine himself.
I have the gift of missing their presence when we are away. And the honor of being welcomed home upon our return.
I am so blessed.
As are we all.
