A life

She began as a raindrop--
--solitary but surrounded, falling, full of potential.

She turned to a puddle--
--small, reflective, waves created by the smallest motion.

She was a lake--
--growing and changing, encouraging life, standing alone.

She became a river--
--roaring and murmuring, tumbling with grace, cutting through rock.

She is an ocean--
--passionate, explosive, full of hurricanes and smooth surf.

She is a conundrum--everything and nothing, full and empty, life and death.

A deep breath

A deep breath is often all it takes to stop a racing mind, a pounding heart, a churning stomach.

A willingness for clarity and a conscious effort towards such.
Similar to so much in life.  One must will it,  and one must work for it.

And I believe the harder the challenge,  the greater the reward.

Synchronities

I believe magick is synchronicity.

Parallels,  lessons repeated,  opposing views presented.

To those with eyes open and willing to see.

Those with heart open and willing to believe.

With mind open and willing to just be.

Seek it out

Don't give up.  Don't let others doubt or negativity stop your progress.  

People are at different steps.  Different levels.   We cannot hope to understand them and they cannot hope to understand us.

We may only seek them out.  

Listen. 

Learn.

Be present.  And love every lesson.  Every obstacle. Every journey.  

For we cannot grow unless faced with challenge. Unless  we release fear/anger/judgement.

Unless we seek answers, not getting hung up on the difficulty of the test. 

I dont have children

but I have a wolf who depends on me to-- keep calm. 

Instruct. 

Educate.  

Illustrate.  

I have no children (yet) 

But i pray for a world

Where everything is sacred and appreciated. 

This wolf is our family's beginning. 

And it's all up from here. 

Love yourself

I read today that we should treat ourselves like a person we love.

Hm.

Odd that we arent taught to do that from the beginning, right?

So be generous with your mistakes. Be proud of your accomplishments. Be unapologetic for your strength.

Be your own best friend.

I need to write more.
We all need to make more.  Do more.  Speak more.  Feel more.

I should make more of every moment.
We all should make more of our talents.  Make more of our friends.  Make more of our peace. Make more of ourselves.

I must be more confident.
We all must be more present. Be more mindful. Be more graceful.  Be more loving.

I have to keep on.
We all have to keep on trying.  Keep on learning.  Keep on growing.

Self-care

Don't forget to recieve.

Whilst living, it is easy to get caught up in the gifting.

Do not neglect to recharge.
A vessel, once emptied, needs to replenish before pouring out once more.

That being said, do so quickly. Many moments are wasted.

Beware

Why is my hair bright green and my lips bright red?

As a warning. I am danger.

I am woman.

Everywhere without, and nowhere but within.

Today, I was witness to magick.

I am outside, enjoying the gray day and cleansing myself with the help of the brisk, chill wind. A slight drizzle begins.

The air feels of energy.

I begin to ponder about the bite of the breeze and consider snow. It is raining sporadically. And quite cold.

Almost as soon as I release the thought from my mind, hail begins to fall--small frozen pebbles raining from the heavens.

My hair stands on end. I watch as the tiny ice globes bounce from cooler surfaces. I recieve a few and observe as they instantly melt upon my skin.

Oh. What a world.

Keep appreciating

It is an exquisite feeling to notice the good in bad,  the learning through challenges,  the growth despite anything.

To feel my own growth causes me such amazing pleasure at my journey so far,  and much excitement for what is to come.

It is a luxury to observe from without.

Things move better when nudged,  not forced.

Give an idea--inspiration--this will settle and grow.

With less pressure, more freedom.  More room to grow.  More responsibility.

For we do what we feel is expected of us.

Failure is inevitable.  Picking ourselves up with grace and continuing on is our choice.


So,  expect better,  and support growth.

RESIST.

Keep going. 

We are all inspired by each other. 

We are able when we are not alone. 

We are inconquerable.

Keep going. 

You matter. 

And our country's failures are not our own fault.  But they are our responsibility.

What if I make a mistake?
Embarrass myself?
Fail?


Is it a greater failure to choose wrongly?
Or to sit idly by?

I realize how lucky I am. For everything.

My amazing husband.
Our awesome wolf.
The kitties of snuggles and cries.

Everything.

In those moments, I am stricken with the profound feeling of "someone else deserves this more."

And yet, I am here. I was gifted these blessings.

I must make the best of myself.

Imbolc blessings

As it is Imbolc, the holiday of growing light, I wish light upon the world.

Light, to reveal the devils hiding in business suits and behind titles.

Light, to be a beacon of hope for those who feel alone and hopeless.

Let this year be a time where we change what we need to change, fix what needs fixing, and love EVERYTHING.

Love doesn't mean ignore things that are wrong, but, rather, to make them right.

Bad things happen.
And we have the choice.
Of acting.
Or of nothing.

Sometimes acting is uncomfortable. Or challenging. Or terrifying.

But sometimes nothing is WRONG.

Id rather stand and be wrong, than sit ignorantly by and be WRONG.

White Privilege

It is odd--feeling like a villain simply due to race. Being attributed to an ignorant, immature "majority".

To feel as if I dont matter.

But, to be frank, its about damn time privilege ends. And I'm happy to endure for equality and love. Hopefully, one day, race really won't matter--until then, I will toe the line and stand up when I see an opportunity.

You are who you need be.

This world needs you. Not you in ten years. Not you when you're happy. Not you after.....whatever--

You. Now.

And this journey of you-ness, this travel to be your most you and, therefore, the best YOU this world has ever known, is imperative.

A constant effort to keep getting better. To keep learning, to further yourself-those around you-EVERYTHING. This is the secret to life, the universe, and everything.

Just keep at it. Even if you feel lost, if you are honestly trying, you are doing well. We create our reality. So, as AURYN (The Neverending Story) states,

"Do what you wish"

How unfortunate...

The problem of communication.
The issue with consciousness.

Our feelings are valid, but unable to be used for evidence. Feelings, emotions,  can be swayed. Can be influenced and forced.

We must strive for fact.  For equality.  For love.

We must fight, with peace, for our connections to the rest of mankind-- to the rest of life-kind.

And we must hope and trust that we are not too late or too far gone.

are valued.
are loved.

Be yourself. For you--

Are Necessary.

New year, next step.

A new year.
A fresh start.
And much on which to improve.
